Rachel has worked on thousands of recipes for food retailers of all sizes and specialities, both regional and national, as well as magazines and TV programmes. She has a great respect for local producers of all good British food. Coming from generations of Lincolnshire farmers she knows just how much hard work has gone into the production!

Warm hearted, enthusiastic, exuberant and funny… No-one does food demonstrations quite like Rachel – from small groups of hands-on students to crowds of several hundred at a food fair or country show.

Rachel’s consultancy is as lively as her cooking. She helps restaurants, hotels and kitchens shape menus, design spaces and create unforgettable dining experiences. From reimagining the Dovecote Restaurant at Morley Hayes to guiding teams on fresh ideas, Rachel brings creativity, practical know-how and her trademark enthusiasm to every project.

Event hosting / speaking

When Rachel isn’t cooking, she’s speaking about food in a style she describes as ‘Vicar of Dibley meets chef’. Or she can be found judging world-class food events like the Great Taste Awards for the Guild of Fine Foods, Tiptree World Bread Awards, Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, and the British Pie Awards.

Whether it’s a countryside wedding, private celebration or corporate feast, Rachel brings bold flavours, seasonal British ingredients, and nearly two decades of experience to every event she caters. With her roots in farming and a reputation for real food done right, she doesn’t just serve a meal – she creates an experience your guests won’t forget at her home in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

She’s cooked for royalty, celebrities, and sporting greats – including the late Queen, King Charles, John Major, Lulu, Sade, and the British Superbike Champions. And while she’s catered for huge numbers (like the Jubilee Hall opening at the Savoy), she now focuses on intimate, high-quality events of up to 200 people.

PASSIONS

Rachel is on a mission to get people off ready meals and back into the kitchen cooking real food – the kind that’s local, seasonal, and proudly British. She’s loud and proud about where ingredients come from, and she’ll do whatever it takes to champion the producers behind them.

Her energy, knowledge and no-nonsense approach have made her a trusted voice in British food. She’s the Official Champion for Taste of Lincolnshire and an active campaigner for Select Lincolnshire, supporting farmers and local businesses across the county and is an Eat Game Ambassador. And when it comes to sausages? Rachel wrote the book – literally – Making the Most of the Great British Sausage.

PR Campaigns have included Yes Peas! British Asparagus, Great British Carrots and Chantenay, The Traditional Farmfresh Turkey Association and UK Shallots. Rachel has also been involved with Taste of Scotland and the Seafish Authority and was the spokesperson for Seafood Fortnight on behalf of Waitrose.

She was awarded the CLA Award for Outstanding Contribution to the British food industry and in 2025 was crowned Champion of Champions at the Eat Game Awards for for her steadfast promotion and passion of all things game meat.
